Kolkata: NEET UG on May 4th will have tight security. The Education Ministry is meeting with district officials nationwide due to last year's alleged irregularities like paper leaks. Following past malpractice concerns in NEET UG and NET PhD (both under CBI investigation), the Centre formed a committee for fair NTA exams.

Over 550 cities and 5000 centers are ready. District committees will be in charge of security and logistics, providing police escorts and multi-layered frisking for exam materials. To stop cheating, coaching facilities and online platforms are subject to heightened scrutiny.

NTA's NEET information brochure, available on neet.nta.nic.in, details all exam rules and procedures. Aspirants must follow NEET guidelines on exam day, dress code, OMR sheet filling, barred items, and other instructions for a secure exam. Non-compliance can lead to cancellation.
